Several times a year, the California Department of General Services, through the Office of Fleet and Asset Management, holds state surplus property auctions at the state warehouse located at 1700 National Drive in Sacramento.

Hundreds of surplus property items ranging from surplus office furniture, computers and cell phones from state agencies, to property seized by the California Highway Patrol or confiscated by the National Transportation Security Administration are on sale to the general public.
