At Governor Brown’s direction to reduce water use by 20 percent due to California’s drought state of emergency, DGS held a water conservation training event today for approximately 300 people.

Secretary Marybel Batjer, California Government Operations Agency, and Wade Crowfoot, special advisor to the governor and deputy cabinet secretary, were on hand to encourage those working on the front lines of water conservation at state-owned facilities.

Additional information on water conservation best practices is available for state and local government entities on the DGS water conservation website.
