CLOUDS

The demand for information technology delivered as a service, otherwise referred to as cloud computing, has increased dramatically over the past year. In order to address this demand, the State of California is taking several measures including the adoption of new contract terms and conditions for the acquisition of Software as a Service (SaaS). The Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking input on those terms and conditions by vendors who offer SaaS products.

DGS requests that suppliers provide written comments via email in response to the SaaS terms and conditions no later than May 23, 2014. These comments will be discussed in an open forum at the DGS Auditorium in West Sacramento. DGS procurement, policy and legal personnel will be on hand to address the submitted comments, which will be followed by a dialogue with those in attendance.
