SHAKE-CROPPED (1 of 1)The Department of General Services held the first-ever Northern California “Meet the Buyers Expo” today to help small businesses and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) learn about contracting opportunities available through the DGS Real Estate Services Division.

Approximately 200 businesses attended the event in West Sacramento which included forums and workshops focused on doing business with the state and connecting small businesses with contractors.

Through its Real Estate Services Division (RESD), DGS buys goods and services necessary for the everyday operations of DGS-controlled buildings statewide including repair and maintenance of state facilities and grounds. From architectural and engineering services to building maintenance equipment and supplies, RESD works with small businesses to keep state properties operational.
