DGS warehouse worker moves surplus property items into place in preparation for auction.

We are holding our quarterly Surplus Property Auction this weekend featuring hundreds of items as part of an end-of-summer blowout. From leather jackets, fine watches to vending machines– there’s something for everyone.

The DGS Office of Fleet and Asset Management will conduct the auction on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the surplus warehouse at 1700 National Dr. in Sacramento. The preview event will take place Friday, Sept. 11.

Items up for auction include office furniture, computers and cell phones from state agencies, property seized by the California Highway Patrol and items confiscated by the National Transportation Security Administration.

Auction and auction preview details:

• Auction Preview Day, Friday, Sept. 11, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 pm.

• Auction Day, Saturday, Sept. 12. Pre-auction preview 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Auction begins promptly at 10:00 a.m.
