The Department of General Services (DGS) announced its new employee BikeShare program today with a ribbon cutting ceremony at DGS headquarters in West Sacramento.

DGS employees working in the Sacramento area now have the option to travel to nearby meetings and run errands on a bicycle. The program will help DGS reduce its environmental footprint by reducing vehicle trips, while also promoting wellness and active transportation.

The bicycles were made possible by a state bikeshare mini-grant
