State employees traveling on official state business can now use transportation networks, also known as sharing economy services, to get to and from their destination.

DGS employees at headquarters in West Sacramento recently received a briefing from representatives of the ride-sharing company Lyft, while Uber will pay DGS headquarters a visit in the next few weeks.

Governor Brown signed legislation last fall allowing state employees to use ride-sharing services.
