The Department of General Services congratulates Norton Chapman on his retirement after more than 40 years with the department. He began his state career with DGS in 1975, when Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. was serving his first term as governor.

Mr. Chapman most recently served as a State Facilities Manager II with the Real Estate Services Division, Project Management and Development Branch, Real Estate Leasing and Planning Section. He worked on many major state building projects during his career, including the Los Angeles state office building, the San Francisco state office building, the Department of Education building in Pomona, and the Franchise Tax Board campus in Rancho Cordova, just to name a few.

Mr. Chapman’s DGS colleagues wish him well in this next chapter of his life and thank him for his years of loyal service.
