State employees check out bikes, helmets and locks available through the State Employee BikeShare Program.

DGS unveiled the first-ever State Employee BikeShare Program today at the State Garage in Sacramento.

All state employees in the downtown Sacramento region are invited to share a bike to go to meetings, run errands and improve air quality. Riding a bike also promotes wellness and environmental stewardship.

To borrow a bike, employees simply complete a one-hour online training course then sign a liability waiver and release agreement. They are then eligible to reserve and borrow bikes using the online web portal – for free!
